The Ghosts of World War II's Past

Taking old World War II photos, Russian photographer Sergey Larenkov carefully photoshops them over more recent shots to make the past come alive. Not only do we get to experience places like Berlin, Prague, and Vienna in ways we could have never imagined, more importantly, we are able to appreciate our shared history in a whole new and unbelievably meaningful way.

Doesn't exactly fit in here but I was drunk and finishing off the last podcast when I came across this link so thought I'd share it. These pictures are incredibly humbling.

A Dubstep War Of The Worlds

One thing I love about the dubstep scene is the non-stop creativity and originality. People aren't afraid to experiment and it often throws up remarkable results. One such project is Erwtenpellers dubstep mix retelling of Jeff Wayne's musical version of War Of The Worlds, sampling the original narratives by Richard Burton, Phil Lynott and David Essex. Incredible stuff and since I heard about it I couldn't wait to listen to it. Grab it as its one of the freshest mixes i've heard in a while.
