Badman producer Dub Phizix and versatile mic-man DRS have collaborated for the latest Broken Audio podcast. Both artists are well known both locally in Manchester and worldwide and rightly so. Dub Phizix production value is impeccable while DRS and his reputation for being a solid MC, host and lyricist is apparent here as it has been for over the last decade. Fantastic stuff. Keep an eye out for forthcoming releases by both artists including DRSs solo outing Grown Man Biznizz on Estate Recordings.
Following on from Two Pints of Brandy and a Packet of Skittles, Talented Mancunian resident Skittles offers up a free taster of his wordsmith skills in preparation for the forthcoming LP on Estate Recordings, Poor with £100 Trainers. An incredible talent and a flawless flow, Skittles should start to get the wide recognition he fully deserves.
Boys In Blue samples Arctic Monkeys alongside a couple of older tracks but just listening to the stories and images crafted prove Skittles is one of the finest MCs the UK can offer.
This guy is a producing machine. Tune after tune and he's only getting better. Cant wait to see what this guy will come up with in 2011 and i've been lucky enough to catch him at Manchesters Hit & Run night which has a fantastic philosophy in promoting local talent. Badman.

I'm double happy that people like Synkro come from Manchester. Probably one of the more progressive producers i've listened to for the last couple of years and his sound is finally his becoming. Collabos with Indigo and Biome really make me wonder where its going to take this collective. Only good things will come from these minds and their push to work as a live unit is an inspiration.
A bit more experimental with this one but the deep bass is prevalent throughout. A few tracks on here that deserve recognition and it seems that good producers are coming from right across the globe. Awesome stuff.

London Zoo were once residents in Manchester and its a damn shame they headed home to the big smoke. They are consistently putting out releases (such as their album Living Long Ting) and also offering up free giveaways that are jampacked full of originality, head nodders, floor fillers and the MC's dont hold back either. 'Fucking brilliant' is how I would describe this collective which comprises of:
MIC~ DABBLA - ROCKS - COBES - PRINGLE..... DJ's ~ FROSTY - TANGO - JONNY K..... PRODUCTION ~ SUMGII - PIERRE GREEN - PHILLY B..... VIDEO ~ ICHI ENTERTAINMENT..... Extended FAM ~ DUBBLEDGE / MENTION / GOLDEN CHILD
and to quote them further: "They move like jelly-fish. They act like monkeys. They fuck like rabbits. Welcome to the wonderful world of London Zoo."
